A downward trend in wholesale prices for the gasoline group was registered since January of this year, which should have an impact on the cost in the retail sector. The Antimonopoly Regulation Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
It is noted that a gradual reduction in prices is expected over the next month. As a result, the cost of gasoline in Kyrgyzstan will be adjusted by major market players downwards by 5-6 soms. This will happen taking into account the 1.5-month stock of fuel and lubricants, which oil traders should have.
The state service also said that in January 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, AI 80 fell in price by 4 soms, and AI 92 — by 1.2 soms. But diesel fuel, on the contrary, increased in price by 15.1 soms. To date, the cost of diesel fuel remains high both in the retail and wholesale markets.
