At least 47 employees were fired from the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Communal Services for corruption. The head of the agency Nurtazin Dzhetybaev said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on transport, communications, architecture and construction.
He noted that he came to the post seven months ago and has been fighting against the illegal actions of his subordinates.
«We have stepped up our efforts to fight corruption. We have conducted 21 official investigations into violations of laws. As a result, 47 employees were fired. The materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies,» Nurtazin Dzhetybaev said.
According to him, employees of contractors who, in collusion with the agency’s officials, carried out illegal actions were also brought to justice.
Earlier, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) revealed facts of illegal withdrawal of budget funds at the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Communal Services. Several former and current officials were detained and placed in the SCNS remand center.
