Some 23 exchange offices were fined a total of 1,265,000 soms in 2022. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
A total of 135 exchange offices were checked last year. As a result, 270 written instructions were sent for violation of the regulatory legal acts of the National Bank, 48 licenses were temporarily suspended and 6 licenses of exchange offices were revoked.
Since the beginning of 2023, inspections have been carried out in nine exchange offices. Based on their results, as well as within the framework of external control, 31 written instructions were sent to exchange offices for violation of the regulatory legal acts of the National Bank and failure to comply with their requirements. In addition, one exchange office was fined 55,000 soms.
