The police opened a criminal case into the death of a girl in Kara-Balta city. The Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region informed 24.kg news agency.
The case was initiated under the article «Failure to provide assistance» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«All the necessary examinations have been scheduled. The investigation is conducted by the Department of Internal Affairs of Zhaiyl district. This case is under the control of the leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Department,» the department said.
Information about the death of the child was earlier confirmed to 24.kg news agency by the health care coordinator for Chui region Baktygul Mamytova. According to her, the girl had severe dehydration, unspecified bronchopneumonia, diabetes mellitus with ketoacidosis, and sepsis. In addition, she was diagnosed with chronic malnutrition and dynamic intestinal obstruction.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
