Yeti Airlines passenger plane crashes in Nepal

A Yeti Airlines passenger plane crashed on January 15 near the city of Pokhara in Nepal. According to preliminary data, all passengers and crew were killed.

According to local media, at least 40 bodies were found at the crash site.

The plane crashed when it was taking off. This is an ATR 72 turboprop medium-haul aircraft developed and produced in France and Italy by aircraft manufacturer ATR. It can carry not more than 74 passengers.

In total, there were 72 people on board — 68 passengers and 4 crew members. Ten foreign citizens are among them, in particular Indians, Australians, French, Russians and Argentines.
