The minimum subsistence level in the country reached 7,178.32 soms in 2022. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
Compared to 2021, the figure increased by 15 percent.
The highest minimum subsistence level last year was registered in Jalal-Abad region (7,500 soms), Bishkek (7,300) and Batken region (7,000). At the same time, unlike in 2021, the largest increase in the subsistence minimum was registered in Issyk-Kul region (by 16.3 percent) and the capital (by 15.7 percent).
In accordance with the structure of the minimum subsistence level, approved by the decree in 2009, the share of food products in it is 65 percent, non-food — 16 percent, services — 17 percent and taxes — 2 percent. The energy value of the food basket is 2,101 kilocalories, and its chemical composition contains 73 grams of protein and 71 grams of fat.
