General Director of Family Village construction company, Sukhrab Zharmukhamedov, was detained in Bishkek and placed in the remand center 1 for two months. Press service of the Pervomaisky District Court informed 24.kg news agency.
The 39-year-old entrepreneur will be held in custody until February 20.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in early December, a local resident applied to the police with a statement against Sukhrab Zharmukhamedov. He told that in October 2021, having won his confidence, promising to pay off within a year, the man took possession of Toyota Camry, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and BMW 750 cars with a total value of $100,000.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated under article 209 «Fraud» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on December 20, 2022.
An investigation is currently underway. The investigation is being conducted by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In February last year, a criminal case was initiated against the ex-deputy of the Parliament Aliyarbek Abzhaliev at the request of the former business partner of his son, Sukhrab Zharmukhamedov. The ex- deputy was then accused of fraud. Later, the criminal case was dropped. Prior to that, he paid damages to the victim in the amount of $1.2 million.
