Norway has officially withdrawn its bid to host the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championship. Website of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) reports.
The decision was made due to lack of funding from the government. The head of the Norwegian Federation, Tage Pettersen, said he was disappointed with this decision.
Germany and Kazakhstan continue to compete for the right to host the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championship. The host country will be chosen in May 2023.
