Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev got acquainted with the work of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant (HPP). Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Osmon Kachkynbaev, General Director of Electric Stations JSC, stated that all the equipment at the Bishkek HPP was in good condition and was operating normally.
«To date, the capital’s HPP has coal reserves of 100,444 tons, and its daily consumption reaches 6,500 tons. About 7,000 tons of local and imported coal are delivered daily.
Bakyt Torobaev instructed the Ministry of Energy to take special control over the issues of timely delivery of coal to fuel bases in the regions of the country and its selling price for the consumers,» the statement says.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service, a cold snap is expected in the republic in the coming days. The air temperature will drop to −20 degrees Celsius.
