Cabinet of Ministers extends ban on export of oil, oil products from Kyrgyzstan

The Cabinet of Ministers has extended a temporary ban on the export of oil and oil products from Kyrgyzstan outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov.

The decision was made to stabilize prices for oil and oil products on the domestic market. The ban is imposed on the export of oil and oil products by road and rail until the domestic market is saturated or common markets for oil and oil products of the EAEU are formed.

The Customs Service and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security were instructed to take measures to prevent the illegal export of oil and oil products.

The decision came into force from the date of its signing.

A similar ban has been in effect since March 1, 2021. Then it was imposed for an unlimited period.
