A third tender has been announced for the purchase of laboratory equipment for carrying out donor compatibility testing in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Sadykov told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the first two tenders did not take place due to non-compliance with technical parameters.

«We hope that the equipment will arrive at the beginning of 2023, and then there will be a full cycle of preparation for transplantation in Kyrgyzstan. Patients will not have to travel abroad, their expenses will be significantly reduced,» said Ulan Sadykov.

It should be noted that patients are forced to travel to Kazakhstan, Turkey and other countries for the so-called HLA typing. This is a test of organs and tissues for compatibility during transplantation, so that the patient does not later have an organ rejection. The Cabinet of Ministers allocated 21 million soms for the purchase of laboratory equipment.
