Kyrgyzstanis won 41 medals at the Asian Chess Championship among schoolchildren, which was held in Sri Lanka on December 2-11. The Kyrgyz Chess Union reported on Instagram.
According to the results of the classical chess competitions, the team of Kyrgyzstan won six medals in the individual competition (two of each value), and six medals in the team competition: four silver and two bronze medals.
Kyrgyzstanis also won 17 medals in rapid chess and 12 — in blitz chess.
As reported, 16-year-old Eldiyar Orozbaev became the absolute champion of Asia among schoolchildren.
