Presentation of several projects prepared by a consortium of Czech companies HDT Impex and Taza Bio Systems took place in the Bishkek City Hall. Its press service reported.
As part of the first stage, it is planned to organize sorting and composting of waste, production of techno-soil (biocompost). Construction of a sorting plant and a biocomposting line will make it possible to process up to 60 percent of municipal solid waste.
«If the project is successfully implemented, the City Hall will be able to use the so-called green bonds in the future. In the process of project implementation, it is planned to assess the environmental effect through the calculation of carbon units. The difference in CO2 emissions is converted into carbon units. And then, according to the existing methodology, each ton of CO2 not emitted is converted into a monetary equivalent. Under it, the company issues special bonds (SLB-bonds) tied to a specific result. The bonds are placed on one of the European stock exchanges and are accompanied by a report on the results achieved,» the City Hall said.
In addition, projects for the modernization of street lighting and sanitary cleaning of city streets were presented. «The project to improve outdoor lighting involves the introduction of a unique SMART CITY management system,» the City Hall added.
