President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with members of the Council of Elders of the first People’s Kurultai. Press service of the head of state reported.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the organizing committee for holding the first People’s Kurultai — State Secretary Suyunbek Kasmambetov and the head of the Department for Preparing Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers Aibek Dzhunushaliev.
The head of state congratulated the elders on the successful holding of the first Kurultai and expressed gratitude to the delegates who, having won the trust of the people, conveyed their wishes and thoughts from the high rostrum.
He noted that frank speeches were made at the Kurultai for two days, which is what distinguished this meeting.
Sadyr Japarov stressed that relations between the people and the authorities have strengthened. All the citizens of Kyrgyzstan have become witnesses of how another step towards joint coordinated work has been taken.
The President stated that the delegates elected from among the people openly spoke about problematic issues and ways to solve them before the country’s top leadership.
This indicates that there is freedom of speech in Kyrgyzstan and the country is on the right democratic path of development.
«The head of state noted the main advantage of the kurultai institution, which paves the way for unity at the national level. The President stressed that the issue of further promotion of the bill «On People’s Kurultai» was raised. The elders told the president about their plans, in particular, about seven areas in which they intend to work,» the statement says.
The members of the Council once again outlined important topics that should first of all be paid attention to, in particular, they proposed to develop a development program until 2050, including such components as the construction of factories and hydroelectric power stations, return of migrants from abroad to their homeland, and the development of draft laws about the gene pool of the nation, maternal capital and others.
As a result of the meeting, the participants came to a common opinion on the need to jointly take measures to strengthen the economic potential of the country to improve the welfare of the people and develop the state.
