Inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan decreases by $9.7 million for month

In September 2022, migrants transferred $291.9 million to Kyrgyzstan, which is $9.7 million less than a month earlier. The National Bank provided such data.

In total, in January — September, compatriots transferred $2,211.53 billion to the country. This is $187,923 million more than in 2021. Russia accounts for more than 97 percent of remittances — $2,108.98 billion. At least $46.99 million was transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic from other states, and $72.31 million — from the USA.

According to the results of September, there was also an outflow of funds of $170.4 million. The main part of the money was transferred to Russia — $108.6 million. The outflow for nine months is estimated at $779.32 million.

The net inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan in January — September reached $1,432.21 billion.

Last year, the volume of money transfers to the republic was $2,756.24 billion. At least $562.77 million was transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other countries. Net inflow reached $2,193.47 billion.
