Mass arrests: Aibek Buzurmankulov remanded in custody

The Bishkek City Court considered a measure of restraint against the ex-plenipotentiary representative of the President in Talas region Aibek Buzurmankulov.

The lawyer asked to release the accused from custody. He noted that Aibek Buzurmankulov has five minor children and a wife who needs treatment.

Leaving the deliberation room, the panel of judges, consisting of Mirad Dineev, Nazgul Iliyazova, and Zaurbek Dzhunusov, read out the decision upholding the ruling of the Pervomaisky District Court of the capital.

Thus, Aibek Buzurmankulov will be in custody until December 20.

The Committee for protection of Kempir-Abad reservoir was created on October 22. It includes activists, politicians and MPs.
