Sadyr Japarov invites UAE President to visit Kyrgyzstan

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic met in Abu Dhabi with the head of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation between the countries, issues of enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, educational, humanitarian, investment and other areas of mutual interest.

Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed confidence that the visit of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic would be fruitful and successful, and signing of a number of bilateral documents would help strengthen relations between the countries in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

He also expressed interest in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, proposing to intensify joint work to increase the volume of trade. According to the sheikh, the states have great opportunities in the field of trade and economic partnership.

Sadyr Japarov stressed that relations between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE are based on mutual trust and friendship, and peoples are united by historical and spiritual ties. He noted that the two countries have no contradictions in the international arena, adding that the UAE is the main trade partner of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Middle East and the Gulf region.

According to the head of state, the annual growth in trade between the two countries for eight months of this year amounted to $69 million. He believes that the parties can improve these positive dynamics in the coming years.

Exports of organic meat products and drinking water to the UAE have begun this year, in the near future it is planned to open direct flights between Dubai and Osh, and the tourism sector is developing.

Sadyr Japarov invited Emirati investors to jointly implement projects to create a regional air hub in Kyrgyzstan, as well as projects in the field of hydropower. He also told about the tourism opportunities of the republic.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic also invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to pay a visit to the country at any time convenient for him.
