Minimum subsistence level in Kyrgyzstan amounts to 7,200 soms

The average subsistence level per capita for the third quarter of 2022 in the country amounted to 7,242 soms. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.

Compared to the corresponding period last year, the indicator increased by 13.5 percent. A growth of the minimum subsistence level was registered in all regions. Its highest value is in Jalal-Abad region — 7,495 soms, exceeding the national average by 10.8 percent. The lowest subsistence level is in Talas region — 6,584 soms.

«In accordance with the structure of the minimum subsistence level, approved by the decree in 2009, the share of food products in it is 65 percent, non-food — 16 percent, services — 17 percent and taxes — 2 percent. The energy value of the food basket is 2,101 kilocalories, and its chemical composition contains 73 grams of protein and 71 grams of fat,» the National Statistical Committee said.
