Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Torobaev, held a meeting of the organizing committee for projects on construction of Kambarata HPP-1, commissioning of the second hydroelectric unit and construction of the surface spillway of Kambarata HPP-2. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Four months ago, the president launched the initial stage of preparatory work at the site of Kambarata HPP-1. It includes construction of a bridge, a tunnel, roads, a substation and a camp.
Since then, the issue of financing the project has been resolved — a budget loan in the amount of 1,555.6 billion soms has been allocated. The general contractor has been determined — Narynhydroenergostroi open joint-stock company.
Bakyt Torobaev noted that Kambarata HPP would be the largest energy facility. It is urgently needed for the social and economic development of the country. Therefore, the heads of relevant ministries were instructed to speed up work on updating the previously developed feasibility study, taking into account modern technologies and economic indicators.
Particular attention was paid to the trend in the modern economy associated with the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.

According to world tabloids, shares of those companies that take into account environmental risks show more sustainable growth and stability,» Bakyt Torobaev said.
