Contingent of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was sent to Tajikistan to participate in the joint exercises Rubezh 2022. TASS reports.

The exercises will be held from October 10 through October 21 on the territory of Tajikistan with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region.

«The military units of the states of the Central Asian region that are members of the CSTO, operational groups of the joint headquarters and the CSTO Secretariat will take part in the exercises. It is planned that the total number of participants of the exercises in Tajikistan will be about 1,000 people and over 300 units of military and special equipment, including aircraft, helicopters and UAVs,» the news agency reports.

Earlier, CSTO exercises Indestructible Brotherhood — 2022 were to be held in Kyrgyzstan at the Edelweiss training center.

The servicemen of Tajikistan were to take part in these military drills. However, after the military aggression of Emomali Rahmon, many Kyrgyzstanis, as well as deputies of the Parliament, demanded not to allow representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan to participate in the exercises.

The CSTO has not yet commented on the cancellation of the exercises.
