Work is underway to support large and small Russian companies that are interested in partial localization of their production in Kyrgyzstan or are thinking about entering the market of the republic. The head of the National Investment Agency, Umbriel Temiraliev, said at the Russian-Kyrgyz Investment Forum.
At the instruction of the President and the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the agency is ready to create all the necessary conditions for the partial relocation of enterprises, creation of new joint ventures and value chains. Kyrgyzstan proposes to consider the option of operation of Russian companies on the territory of free economic zones, preferential territories. At the same time, it is proposed to apply the public-private partnership mechanism.
«A Russian company recently got interested in partial transfer of its enterprise to the country. It would like to open an enterprise for assembly of transport equipment here, including electric public transport. We are interested in attracting investments from Russia further and intend to make every effort to develop and strengthen our relations,» Umbriel Temiraliev concluded.
