Aerated concrete plant to be opened in Kyrgyzstan

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) will finance construction of the first plant in the Kyrgyz Republic for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete. Press service of the RKDF reports.

The ceremony of laying the capsule at the construction site took place on Friday in Khalmion village, Batken region. The plant’s capacity will be 160,000 cubic meters per year. Thanks to the project, new jobs will be created, and the salary of employees will be at least 40,000 soms per month. The RKDF expects that this will reduce the outflow of the able-bodied population abroad in search of work. The infrastructure of the region will improve, and revenues to the budget will increase. The company implementing the project will direct 5 percent of the profits to the social development of the region — modernization of healthcare facilities, construction of orphanages and gyms, and improvement of the territory.

«This is not just another project of the fund, but the largest investment project in Batken region. Today we are laying the foundation for import substitution of building materials. This project should be indicative for us in terms of work in the regions. These are just the first steps that we are taking to develop districts and regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and create new large industrial complexes,» Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of the RKDF, said.
