Illegal import of more than 15 tons of mineral fertilizers was prevented in Batken region. The Customs Service reported.
During the inspection of a Mercedes-Benz car driven by a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, carbamide and ammonium nitrate produced in Uzbekistan were found in the vehicle.
The total weight of the detained goods was 7 tons worth 300,000 soms. The cargo was transported without any shipping documents confirming the legality of import into the territory of the EAEU.
A fine of 60,000 soms was imposed and collected, damage in the amount of 45,486 soms was compensated.
At least 177 bags of mineral fertilizers were found on Batken — Osh highway during the inspection of a Mercedes-Benz truck driven by a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic. The total weight of the goods amounted to 8.85 tons worth 424,800 soms.
A fine of 60,000 soms was imposed and collected, and damage in the amount of 82,964 soms was compensated.
