After the raid tax control was strengthened, facts were discovered when entrepreneurs working under a license exceeded the established threshold. The head of the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Kubanychbek Ysabekov, announced on Tuesday during the National Forum.
He noted that after the strengthening of tax administration, many meetings were held with businessmen. Entrepreneurs were explained that under both the old and the new Tax Code, a business with a turnover of up to 8 million soms could operate under a license. If this threshold is exceeded, it is necessary to switch either to the general regime or to the single tax.
«But many subjects, working under a license, exceeded the threshold and worked. There was a case when goods worth 25 million soms were found in one of the stores during a check, but its owner had documents only for 1 million soms. After such cases, at the instruction of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, a working group was created to somehow change the situation and we worked for over a month. Most entrepreneurs themselves admitted that they exceeded the threshold of 8 million soms. Someone had a turnover of 30-50 million soms and even 100 million. We said that we closed our eyes to what was before, but we must go into the future,» Kubanychbek Ysabekov said.
As a result of the activities of the working group, it was decided to cancel the license for trading activities.
