Akylbek Adimov, judge of the Sverdlovsky District Court of Bishkek, delivered a sentence within the case against the journalist Bolot Temirov.

The court acquitted him of drug possession charge, recognizing the evidence of guilt as not obvious, and the investigation of the case as biased, as well as on illegal border crossing, not finding evidence of crime in his actions, since Bolot Temirov used a real, not a fake passport.

The journalist was found guilty on two counts — on using false data when obtaining a passport. He was charged with illegal use of a military ID to obtain an ID card (internal passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic) and illegal obtaining of the identity card. However, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, the court did not impose penalties on him. Bolot Temirov was released from the courtroom.

Earlier, the state prosecutor requested a five-year prison sentence for the journalist. Lawyers demanded acquittal due to the lack of evidence of crime.

Four criminal cases were initiated against the journalist. Bolot Temirov connected this with an investigation that the company of the son of the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev, Taimuras, won several tenders in Jalal-Abad, as well as with material about the fuel business of the family of the head of security services.
