As of 3 p.m. on September 20, 2022, the total number of victims of the armed conflict at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border admitted to healthcare organizations is 198 people. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
At least 26 people of them were sent for outpatient treatment. 172 people are in hospitals, 68 victims are being treated in healthcare organizations in Batken region, 104 have been transferred to healthcare organizations in Bishkek and Osh cities.
At least 75 victims are in the National Hospital, 8 — in the National Surgical Center, 8 — in the National Center for Mater and Child Welfare, 9 — in the Emergency Hospital and 4 — in the Osh Regional Combined Hospital.
The total number of casualties as a result of the armed conflict in Batken region is 59 people.
Emergency situation has been introduced in Batken region. Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. Settlements in Leilek and Batken district came under fire. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts, as well as Dzhekendi village in Chon-Alai district of Osh region, left their homes.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan opened a criminal case on crimes against peace.
