Member of organized criminal group detained with drugs in Cholpon-Ata

A member of an organized criminal group was detained with drugs in Cholpon-Ata city. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region reported.

«In August, officers of the Organized Crime Division for Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions of the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic received information that one of the members of an organized criminal group was storing drugs in Cholpon-Ata. The suspect turned out to be previously repeatedly convicted 26-year-old resident of the city, who is on the operational register of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,» the statement says.

The suspect was detained on Wednesday on one of the streets of Cholpon-Ata with 3 grams of hashish.

By decision of the District Court, the man was detained until the end of investigation.
