The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan took part in the opening ceremony of a kindergarten in Dzhal-29 microdistrict in Bishkek. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The kindergarten is designed for 140 children. The total area of the building is 1,484 square meters. The estimated cost of the project is 88,499 million soms.
Akylbek Japarov congratulated the children and parents on the joyful event and noted that the kindergarten was built on instructions from the president.
According to him, in order to resolve the issue of a heavy load on secondary schools and kindergartens, construction of 15 schools and one kindergarten has begun in the capital. Three billion soms were allocated for this, including 2.5 billion soms from the republican budget. This year, the construction of 86 more educational facilities will be completed. At least 35 kindergartens are under construction, six are being overhauled.
The head of the Cabinet added that the salaries of teachers in kindergartens have been increased twofold and reach 25,000 soms, while the wages of junior and technical staff have been tripled.
«We are starting reforms in the education system to switch to 12-year education. Educators, teachers of senior groups in kindergartens will be the first to implement measures within the framework of the reform,» the official noted.
