The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan revised the outlook for the growth of the economy of Kyrgyzstan at year-end upwards. Report on monetary policy says.
The estimate has been revised due to the fact that the growth rates of the sectors of trade, services, net taxes on products in the second quarter were higher than it was previously forecast.
The National Bank believes that the real sector of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2022 will show moderate growth.
According to the results of the current year, GDP growth is expected at the level of about 4.2 percent, excluding Kumtor — about 3.7 percent.
«Indicators of production growth at the enterprise for the development of Kumtor mine are expected to be higher than the output in 2021. In a sectoral context, economic growth in the current outlook is supported by the sectors of agriculture (due to livestock and crop production), the trade and service sectors,» the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic says.
Real GDP growth is expected to be around 3.6 percent in 2023. GDP growth excluding Kumtor is expected to be about 3.4 percent.
