Amendments to the Code of Offenses were approved on Tuesday at a meeting of parliamentary committee on law and order, combating crime and corruption.

«We have to keep our teachers. We see that many people quit their jobs and went abroad, for example, to Russia. If we do not protect the rights of teachers, this will not lead to anything good. Those who have completed their studies in the corridors and on the street will come to work. Quality of education is falling every year,» the head of the committee, Suyun Omurzakov, said.

The bill was approved in the second reading. It provides for a fine for insulting teachers, which is levied on the student’s parents, and in case of recurrence, punishment up to administrative arrest can be imposed.
