Kaiyp Kulenbekov has been appointed a new Deputy Chairman of the National Bank. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
Kaiyp Kulenbekov previously served as a Deputy Executive Director of the Deposit Protection Agency. It is also known from open sources that he has worked at the National Bank since 1993. He held the position of head of the Financial Reporting and Control Branch of the Accounting and Reporting Department of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, and then head of the Department for Supervision of Non-Banking Institutions. Kaiyp Kulenbekov also previously served as a Deputy Chairman of the Board of Aiyl Bank OJSC, worked as an expert in the Presidential Administration.
By order of the President, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Nurbek Zhenish was relieved of his post.
