Kyrgyzstan holds negotiations to relax Russia’s laws regarding migrants

Delegation of Kyrgyzstan will leave for Moscow to negotiate easing of requirements for migrants. Deputy, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Parliament, Chingiz Aidarbekov, told 24.kg news agency.

After the opening of the next session of the Parliament of the 7th convocation, the deputy told that during the summer recess he discussed the issue with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov.

«He noted that negotiations are ongoing. The talks took place at the level of Prime Ministers. On the basis of these agreements, the supervising minister is leaving with the delegation. Negotiations to relax the legislation regarding the protection of workers’ rights in Russia will be held. As a result, we will be presented with a report. We plan to consider the issue at a meeting of the committee,» Chingiz Aidarbekov said.

Fourteen Kyrgyzstanis died in a road accident in Ulyanovsk Oblast of the Russian Federation on August 21. According to official data, they were returning from the border of Russia and Kazakhstan, where they went to fulfill the new requirements of the Russian migration legislation.
