Two Kyrgyzstanis were detained on the territory of Chui region, from whom hashish of Afghan origin with a total weight of 10 kilograms was confiscated. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
It was found out in the course of the operational work of the special services that a citizen of Kazakhstan was supposed to receive the drug cargo in the border area of Talas region. The drugs were supposed to be delivered to the neighboring country and sold there.
«The Kazakhstani was detained while crossing the state border at Chon-Kapka — Avtodorozhny checkpoint. He was placed in the pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security for further investigative and operational activities. A complex of measures is being taken to identify other organizers of the drug trafficking channel from among the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan,» the press center noted.
