Bishkek will host ColorFest_KG Festival. Organizers of the festival announced.
The traditional festival of colors will be held for the sixth time. As part of the event, master classes for children and adults, quests, charity projects in orphanages, nursing homes, and assistance to those in need are planned.
«The idea of the festival originated in India. Holi is a spring festival filled with sunshine and the cheerful frenzy of lush blossoming nature. ColorFest_KG ia a bright annual music festival, which was held in Kyrgyzstan for the first time in 2016. The festival is based on the patriotic idea of uniting youth, freedom of expression and a bright holiday, the main tradition of which is to throw brightly coloured powder at each other,» the statement says.
Performances of domestic bands, DJs, dance and creative groups, singers, beatboxers, colorful battles, games are planned within the festival.
The powder consists of cereals, food colorings and mineral additives. It is non-toxic, easy to rinse and wash.
