Independence Day: Bishkek City Hall presents festive events program

The Bishkek City Hall presented a program of festive events scheduled for August 30-31 and timed to coincide with the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Press service of the City Hall told what is offered to citizens and guests of the capital.

Pervomaisky district

  • August 31, 2022, 7.30 p.m. — a concert with participation of Kyrgyz pop stars is planned on the central Ala-Too square;
  • Sports competitions for children will be organized in Health Park from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (volleyball, athletics, relay race, mini-football, arkan tartysh);
  • Performance by extreme sports athlete Aleksey Teplyashin, who plans to set a new record in pulling three buses, will take place in Health Park at 4.30 p.m.;
  • Event «Tribute to Kyrgyz fashion. From origins to modernity» is planned to be held on August 26, 2022 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the site of the National History Museum;
  • Song contest Yr-Kese with participation of activists and folklore ensembles is planned on August 27 at noon in Muras-Ordo residential area.

Oktyabrsky district

  • August 31, 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. — a street food festival will be held in Yntymak-2 park. Various culinary tournaments and games will be organized.

Sverdlovsky district

  • August 30, 10 a.m. — festive event with a concert program for residents in Karagachevaya Grove;
  • August 30, 11 a.m. — sports games for residents at the site of the secondary school No. 11;
  • August 31, 11 a.m. — sports games are planned to be held at the sports ground of the secondary school No. 52;
  • August 31, 11 a.m. — event with a concert program and sports competitions in Ene-Sai residential area.

Leninsky district

  • August 31, 10 a.m. — festive event and opening of a children’s sports ground are planned in Ak-Orgo residential area;
  • August 31, 2 p.m. — festive event in Ala-Archa residential area.
