At least 242 buildings of former kindergartens have been returned to state for five years in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the School Education Policy and Book Publishing Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, Samarkul Umralieva, told at a briefing on Wednesday.
According to her, work on the return of such objects is being carried out in stages.
«To date, 24 percent of children are covered by preschool education up to 10 hours a day. There are children who attend short-stay groups — from three to five hours. In addition, there is pre-school training for six-year-old children. Its coverage is up to 96 percent,» Samarkul Umralieva said.
Pre-school training programs will start from September 1, 2022.
«By the end of December, we plan to open another 100 kindergartens within the framework of the World Bank project. We will cover children with three-hour programs,» the head of the department added.
