Co-owner of Umut and Co LLC detained for illegal possession of firearms

One of the co-owners of Umut and Co LLC was detained for illegal possession of firearms and explosive devices. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

Special military equipment was found at the place of work and residence of the 52-year-old businessman — an armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicle with a 7.62 Kalashnikov combat tank machine gun, as well as a large number of firearms, ammunition and explosive devices (F-1 grenade), smooth-bore (rifled) and traumatic weapons of various calibers, circulation of which is prohibited.

«The suspect wears a military uniform (camouflage) in everyday life. He has inclination to manifestations of aggression, which prompted him to acquire and illegally store the aforementioned weapons,» the State Committee for National Security said in the statement.

A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Illicit trafficking in weapons, ammunition» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, investigative and operational measures are being taken with scheduling appropriate examinations. The detainee was taken to the State Committee for National Security for investigative measures.

The co-owner of Umut and Co LLC is Dzhurat Abdullaev.
