A series of major tennis tournaments will start in Kyrgyzstan on August 22. Competitions will be held on international standard courts in Issyk-Kul region. Tennis Federation informed 24.kg news agency.
Two ITF tournaments (International Tennis Federation) will be held. A J3 category tournament will be held in the republic for the first time. In addition, Asian tournaments for athletes under 16 years old (two ATF tournaments) will be organized for the first time in the history of the Kyrgyz Republic. Previously, they were held for participants under 14 years old.
Athletes from 20 countries, including Turkey, Portugal, Spain, China, Hong Kong, the CIS, the USA, Nigeria and Uganda, are expected to participate in the U18 tournament. Participants from China, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are expected to participate in ATF tournaments.
