A 36-year-old native of Uzbekistan Sardor Khakimov died as a result of a missile attack in the Ukrainian city of Chuguev. The Uzbek service of Radio Liberty reports.
«The whole Chuguev knew him. Everyone hoped to the end that Sardor Khakimov was alive. He always smiled, he was such a positive person,» the head of the Kharkiv regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said.
Local imam Timur Beridze told that Sardor Khakimov was in the basement during the shelling, where he was making preparations for pilaf. Khakimov, according to the Ukrainian media, had lived in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, since 2000. After the war, he moved to Chuguev in 2014. There he opened an Uzbek cafeteria and a spice shop. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Khakimov sent his family to Uzbekistan and stayed in Chuguev to help people.
