Situation in Ukraine: Two activists hold rally in Bishkek

Two activists Ondurush Toktonasyrov and Burulkan Usmanalieva hold a rally near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek.

«We learned from our and Ukrainian media that Central Asian citizens are being recruited to Ukraine by a private Wagner organization to participate in the conflict. They promise 240,000 rubles and easier acquisition of Russian citizenship,» Burulkan Usmanalieva said.

The activists appeal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for National Security with a request to check this information and respond to the situation.

The situation in Ukraine remains difficult. The fighting continues. Russia announced a special military operation on February 24, 2022. The number of casualties among the military and civilians continues to grow. Many states have imposed and continue to impose severe sanctions against the Russian Federation.
