At least 79 children were returned to Kyrgyzstan in 2022, who, together with their mothers, were kept in the prisons of Baghdad (Iraq). The Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev announced at a press conference.
In total, 105 children who were in a difficult life situation were returned to Kyrgyzstan this year, including 24 from Russia and 2 from Kazakhstan.
According to the official, 79,805 children, whose parents are abroad, live in Kyrgyzstan.
