Kyrgyzstani Tynarbek Sharshenbekov wins gold at Poland Open 2023

Member of the Greco-Roman wrestling team of Kyrgyzstan Tynarbek Sharshenbekov won a gold medal in the weight category up to 63 kilograms at the International Poland Open 2023 Tournament in Poland. Wrestling Federation reported.

In the final, the Kyrgyzstani competed with the representative of the national team of Iran Sam Daliri Hossein and won with a score 3-1.

Aiperi Medet kyzy and Zholaman Sharshenbekov won silver medals.

Aiperi Medet kyzy lost to the Estonian athlete Epp Mäe in the final. Zholaman Sharshenbekov could not fight for a gold medal against Kenichiro Fumita from Japan due to injury.

In April, members of the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic won three gold and three bronze medals at the Asian Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling. Tynarbek Sharshenbekov, Akzhol Makhmudov and Zholaman Sharshenbekov became Champions of Asia, while Roman Kim, Uzur Dzhuzupbekov and Adilkhan Nurlanbek uulu won bronze medals.
