At least 325 children have been adopted in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year. Press service of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration reported.
The number of foster families reportedly increased by 35.2 percent (91 families), 67 candidates for foster families are registered. «Another 185 orphans and children left without parental care were placed in foster families (growth by 25 percent),» the ministry added.
Fourteen children were returned from Russia and Kazakhstan. Search for their relatives continues.
«An information and analytical system is in operation on the website of the ministry that keeps records of children entering orphanages, regardless of their form of ownership. The ministry is working to find their biological relatives. As a result, 207 children were returned from orphanages to their families,» the Ministry of Labor reported.
