He noted that, in addition to the bilateral, there is a broad regional agenda between the countries. There is an intensification and expansion of regional cooperation. This is a key factor in the development of both the region as a whole and each individual state of Central Asia. The Kyrgyz side considers it important to increase the volume of mutual trade, attract foreign direct investment, cooperation, complementarity, not competition.

The head of state noted that there is an understanding that trade, economic, energy, transport and other types of interaction aimed at developing the national economies of the countries are a solid foundation for ensuring stability, security, peace and prosperity throughout Central Asia.

As Sadyr Japarov noted, the Summit of the Leaders of States of Central Asia is the evidence of unity and mutual understanding, readiness for an open and mutually beneficial dialogue.

He drew the ministers’ attention to the fact that the success of regional initiatives and positioning of the Central Asian region as a whole directly depend on the quality of their work, efforts, dialogue and mutual understanding at the level of the foreign affairs agencies.

In turn, the ministers informed the President that preparation of the substantive part of the 4th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be completed during today’s meeting of Foreign Ministers.

In the current international situation, integration processes in the Central Asian region are in demand and relevant.

The heads of the Foreign Ministries of the Central Asian countries focused on the fact that a large package of documents had been prepared for the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian states on July 21.

The meeting participants noted that tomorrow’s summit in Issyk-Kul will give a new impetus to relations between the countries of Central Asia.

It is assumed that activation of integration processes outside the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union will begin in Central Asia after its signing.
