Electric energy system of Kyrgyzstan, within the framework of agreements reached, supplies electricity to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in exchange for the electricity received from them in winter. Electric Stations OJSC informed 24.kg news agency.
The company noted that as of July 18, the volume of water in Toktogul reservoir is 12,699 billion cubic meters. This is 1,175 billion cubic meters more than last year.
Inflow is expected to be 794 cubic meters per second in July 2022.
«There are no restrictions related to the exchange of electricity for domestic consumers. It is worth noting that in the past autumn-winter heating period, the electric energy system of Uzbekistan supplied us with 501.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, Kazakhstan — 440 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. It had a significant positive effect on the passage of the winter maximum load period,» the company commented.
