The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov visited Solton-Sary gold deposit in Naryn region. Press service of the head of state reported.
He inspected Buchuk site, where investor once began construction of the relevant infrastructure, but suspended all activities in 2019 after discontent from local residents.
The explored reserves of gold at the site are 12 tons. According to geologists’ forecasts, additional reserves of the precious metal may amount to about 22 tons more.
As Sadyr Japarov noted, the final decision on the enterprise will be made after a comprehensive analysis and comprehensive study of the situation, adding that special attention will be paid to environmental issues.
Further, the President visited Solton-Sary Mine enterprise, which is a branch of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC, which has been developing Altyn-Tor site at Solton-Sary field since 1994.
The head of state was told about the main indicators of the enterprise, the volume of mining work performed, payments to the budget, the amount of investments, planned additional funding from the investor company Avelum Partner, and also showed the work of the gold processing plant.
The Solton-Sary Mine branch and Avelum Partner LLC are carrying out complex work at Altyn-Tor site on the basis of a partnership agreement.
In order to develop the state company Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC, President Sadyr Japarov instructed the relevant state bodies to consider the possibility of allocation of additional deposits to it for development in the regions of the country.
The head of state met with local residents who voiced a number of issues, including those related to the environment and development of the road network. President Sadyr Japarov listened to them attentively and gave exhaustive answers.
