Kyrgyzstanis won medals at the Asian Championship in freestyle wrestling (U23), which ended the day before in Bishkek. The United Wrestling World website reports.
Muhammad Abdullaev won a gold medal in the weight category up to 79 kilograms, Taiyrbek Zhumashbek uulu — in the weight category to 61 kilograms, and Orozbek Toktomambetov — in the weight category to 70 kilograms.
Kyrgyzstanis Bekzat Almaz uulu (up to 57 kilograms) and Nurtilek Karypbaev (up to 86 kilograms) won silver medals.
Kanybek Abdulkhairov (up to 97 kilograms), Ikramjon Khajimuradov (up to 65 kilograms) and Alinur Takirov (up to 74 kilograms) won bronze medals at the U23 Asian Championship.
Thus, Kyrgyzstan’s freestyle wrestling team took the second place in the team classification, giving way only to athletes from Kazakhstan.
The Kyrgyz national Greco-Roman wrestling team took the first place in the team scoring of the Asian Championship U23, and the Kyrgyz girls — the second.
