The Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov informed that the instruction to increase the number of cameras necessary to ensure the safety of citizens has been fulfilled.
«The number of cameras has been doubled. All regional departments of internal affairs are now equipped with 24/7 surveillance cameras, and the number of cameras is planned to be increased even more,» he said.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers got acquainted with the work principle of Uragan (hurricane) hardware and software complex for photo and video recording. It is one of the most effective means for prevention of violations of traffic rules and reducing the number of accidents on roads by automatically recognizing the license plates of vehicles and recording the violations themselves.
The official was also told how tablets and personal cameras are used for work purposes, with which the district police officers in Bishkek and the regions have been provided.
Akylbek Japarov noted the need to improve the software interface, which is designed, among other things, to prevent the import and export of contraband and unaccounted goods.
