«In the context of global changes and shift of the world economic center to the East, it is important to develop new logistics corridors and create transport systems that provide full-fledged transport connectivity,» Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
According to him, in order to increase the transport potential of the Union, it is important to develop a full-fledged railway infrastructure in all EAEU countries. One of the reasons preventing this is the lack of the necessary links of the railway infrastructure on the territory of individual states of the Union.
«Creation and further development of the railway transport infrastructure will contribute both to the economic advancement of our states and to development of world trade. It is also important to develop indicators of the speed of movement of goods within the Union and strive to improve them in the direction of reducing the time of delivery of goods. Such indicators have been introduced in Russia, and this indicator should not exceed 12 hours between major cities of the Russian Federation,» Akylbek Japarov said.
