The Eurasian Economic Union is our family, whose well-being we must take care of together, Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said at the panel session «EAEU: New Quality of Integration» at the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to the press service of the Government, he noted that, in addition to external factors that negatively affect the economy of the integration association, there are also internal factors — the presence of barriers and obstacles in the domestic market, which leads to the need to reformat the existing mechanisms to combat these manifestations.
«Our countries should think about expanding the powers of the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as reconsider the role of the court of the Eurasian Economic Union in this process, taking into account international experience. As part of the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum, held on May 26, 2022 in Bishkek, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in his speech focused on the need to work out the issue of creating full-fledged development institutions capable of determining new priorities and development of prospects for our organization,» said Akylbek Japarov, adding that, in addition to economic cooperation, it is necessary to expand the social agenda, which has a direct impact on the economies of all member countries.
According to him, the search for unifying ideas should not stop for one simple reason — they have a huge creative potential, allowing to touch the deep layers of what makes us a community of people united in societies, with their worries and desires, fears, hopes for the future. What is peculiar to an individual is also consonant with countries as communities united by language, culture, and religion. Their size does not matter.
